Zubrzyca Górna between 1945 and 1970 in the memories of the female village residents

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przybliżenie problematyki życia codziennego (ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem dzieciństwa) w orawskiej wsi Zubrzycy Górnej lat 1945-1970. Praca powstała na podstawie przeprowadzonych przez autorkę wywiadów z mieszkankami wsi, których czas dzieciństwa i nastoletni przypadł na badany okres. W pierwszym rozdziale scharakteryzowano położenie geograficzne Zubrzycy Górnej a także klimat, który jest ważnym aspektem decydującym o specyfice regionu. Najistotniejsze w tym rozdziale było także przedstawienie historii wsi z uwzględnieniem skomplikowanych kwestii narodowościowych i tożsamościowych. Pozostałe dwa rozdziały dotyczą już stricte badanych zagadnień. Pierwszy z nich jest próbą analizy powojennych realiów wsi we wspomnieniach rozmówczyń. Osobne podrozdziały poświęcono m.in takim problemom jak mobilność, konsumpcja czy religia. W rozdziale trzecim- przedstawiłam doświadczenie dzieciństwa rozmówczyń. W tym rozdziale podjęta zostaje także próba analizy szkolnictwa we wsi we wspominanym okresie.

The aim of the MA thesis is to present the issues of everyday life (with particular emphasis on childhood) in Orawa village Zubrzyca Górna in the years 1945-1970. The work is based on interviews conducted by the author with female residents of the village whose childhood and teenage years fell within the period under study. The first chapter characterizes the geographical location of Zubrzyca Górna as well as the climate, which is an important aspect determining the specificity of the region. The most important part of this chapter was also the presentation of the history of the village, taking into account the complex issues of nationality and identity. The remaining two chapters deal strictly with the researched issues. The first one is an attempt to analyze the post-war realities of the village in the interviewees' memories. Separate subsections are devoted to issues such as mobility, consumption, and religion. In the third chapter, I presented the interviewees' childhood experiences. This chapter also attempts to analyze education in the village during the period in question.
