THE GRADATION OF AUTOBIOGRAPHICITY DEPENDING ON THE READER PERSPECTIVE ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE BOOK HALT BY JAKUB ZAJĄC.

Niniejsza praca jest próbą ukazania, w jaki sposób autor może wewnątrztekstowo i pozatekstowo wpływać na stopień autobiograficzności swojego dzieła. Obserwacje dotyczą wydanej w 2020r. książki “Halt. Zapiski z domu trzeźwienia” autorstwa Jakuba Zająca. Pozatekstowe techniki budowania autobiograficzności tekstu wykorzystywane przez Zająca pozwalają na interpretację jego tekstu przyjmując różne perspektywy czytelnicze. W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono, jak w zależności od przyjętej perspektywy czytelniczej może być stopniowana autobiograficzność “Haltu”. Poza analizą i interpretacją samego tekstu zbadano również narrację, jaką autor prowadzi w publicznie dostępnych mediach. Wykorzystano również, przeprowadzony na potrzeby niniejszej pracy, wywiad z Jakubem Zającem. Wykazano, że w przypadku braku jednoznacznej deklaracji potwierdzającej lub zaprzeczającej utożsamieniu autora z narratorem i bohaterem tekstu, może ono (utożsamienie) zależeć od stopnia podobieństwa między nimi. Stopniowanie podobieństwa między autorem, narratorem i bohaterem książki, które może prowadzić do ich utożsamienia, umożliwia stopniowanie autobiograficzności tekstu.

This work is an attempt to show how the author can influence the autobiographical level of his work. The observations concern the the book “Halt” by Jakub Zając. The non-textual techniques of building the autobiographical nature of the text used by Zając allow for the interpretation of his text by adopting various reading perspectives. This paper presents how, depending on the adopted reading perspective, the autobiography of "Halt" can be graded. In addition to the analysis and interpretation of the text itself, the author's narrative in publicly available media was also examined. I also used the interview with Jakub Zając. It has been shown that if there is no unabigous declaration confirming or denying the identification of the author with the narrator and the main character of the text, the identification may depend on the degree of similarity between them. The gradation of the similarity between the author, the narrator and the book's main character, which may lead to their identification, enables the gradation of autobiographicity of the text.
