Głównym celem pracy jest zbadanie istoty i przyczyn terroryzmu islamskiego na przykładzie jednej z najbardziej kontrowersyjnych grup terrorystycznych Al-Kaidy. Minęło osiemnaście lat, a Al-Kaida przeprowadziła jeden z najbardziej masywnych i niszczycielskich ataków terrorystycznych we współczesnej historii, w którym zginęło 3000 ludzi. W związku z tym rząd Stanów Zjednoczonych obiecał zemstę i rozpoczęcie wojny z terroryzmem.Chociaż odwet USA spowodował znaczne szkody dla Al-Kaidy, alarmującą prawdą jest to, że grupa terrorystyczna była w stanie odrodzić się w ciągu ostatnich kilku lat. Wykorzystując zwiększoną uwagę społeczności międzynarodowej na I.S. aktywność Al-Kaida może stać się jeszcze potężniejsza niż przed 11 września.

The main purpose of the thesis is to investigate the essence and reasons of Islamic terrorism on the example of one of the most controversial terrorist group Al-Qaeda. Eighteen years have passed since, Al-Qaeda carried out one of the most massive and devastating terrorist attacks in modern history, which claimed the lives of 3,000 people. Thus, consequently, the United States government vowed to revenge and begin the war on terror.Although, the U.S. retaliation inflicted significant damage on Al-Qaeda, the alarming truth is that the terrorist group has been able to reborn over the past few years. Taking advantage of the increased attention of the international community to the I.S. activity, Al Qaeda could become even more powerful than it was before September 11.
