Tourist attractiveness as a basis for creation of tourism in the district of Gorlice

The aim of the work is to present the Gorlice district from the viewpoint of the tourist attraction, the site analysis in terms of development of different forms of tourism, and to formulate proposals that may help the development of tourism in the area.The theoretical part has studied the area geographically, historically and culturally. Discusses the tourist attractions of the area, a predisposition to the development of various forms of tourism, and current tourist management.The practical part presents the results of empirical research conducted among residents and tourists visiting the district. Respondents recognized the district as an attractive tourist destination, have indicated they believe the community having the highest potential, as well as factors inhibiting the development of tourism in the area.

Celem pracy jest zaprezentowanie powiatu gorlickiego z punktu widzenia atrakcyjności turystycznej, analiza terenu pod względem możliwości rozwoju różnych form turystyki, oraz sformułowanie propozycji mogących wspomóc rozwój turystyki na tym terenie. Część teoretyczna charakteryzuje badany obszar pod względem geograficznym, historycznym i kulturowym. Omówione zostały walory turystyczne tego terenu, predyspozycje do rozwoju rożnych form turystyki, oraz aktualne zagospodarowanie turystyczne. W części praktycznej zaprezentowano wyniki badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych wśród mieszkańców i turystów odwiedzających powiat. Ankietowani uznali powiat za atrakcyjny turystycznie, wskazali ich zdaniem gminy posiadające największy potencjał, a także czynniki hamujące rozwój turystyki na tym obszarze.
