The following work deals with the subject of the return of Phidias sculptures from the British Museum, taken by Lord Elgin. The architectural and cultural value of the Parthenon in the era of Pericles is presented. The manner in which Lord Elgin took over the works and their transport to Great Britain was presented. The arguments of both the Greek side, which demands the return of the sculptures, and the British side, which wants the works to remain its property, are shown. As well as, social campaigns from all over the world and private initiatives are presented. The question asked in the work concerns whether the sculptures should be returned to Greece.
