W pierwszym rozdziale autor przybliża współczesną historię Iranu oraz czynniki stojące za rewolucją islamską, która dała początek formacji. Drugi rozdział jest poświęcony historii oraz strukturze formacji, a także irańskiemu otoczeniu instytucjonalnemu w obszarze bezpieczeństwa. W trzecim rozdziale autor analizuje wpływ Korpusu Strażników Rewolucji Islamskiej na politykę zagraniczną i obrony, sprawy wewnętrzne, a także społeczeństwo i gospodarkę Iranu.
The aim of the work is attempt to analyze the role and place of the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. In the first chapter the author describe the modern history of Iran and factors, that contributed to outbreak of the Iranian Revolution. The second chapter is devoted to history of the IRGC, the structure of formation and the institutional landscape of Iran's security. In the third chapter, the author analyzes the influence of the IRGC on foreign and defense policy, domestic affairs as well as society and Iran’s economy.
