Sources of financing and development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland compared to the EU.

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie istoty, uwarunkowań rozwoju i metod finansowania małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw oraz określenie dynamiki źródeł finansowania sektora MŚP i jego rozwoju w Polsce na tle UE w latach 2014-2019. Jako metody badawcze zastosowano analizę literatury przedmiotu oraz analizę danych wtórnych. W analizowanym okresie polskie MŚP najchętniej wykorzystywały do finansowania swoich działalności: leasing, linie kredytową oraz kredyt bankowy. Wzrost zainteresowania źródłami finansowania znacząco wpływa na rozwój sektora, który odgrywa ważną role w kształtowaniu gospodarki w Polsce jak i w UE. Sektor ten w analizowanych latach podniósł swoją wydajność i w znacznym stopniu adaptował się do warunków panujących na rynku.

The aim of this paper is to present the essence, development conditions and methods of financing small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as to determine the dynamics of the SME sector financing sources and its development in Poland compared to the EU over the years 2014-2019. Research methods included literature analysis and secondary data analysis. In the analyzed period, Polish SMEs most often used to finance their activities through leasing, credit lines and bank loans. The increased interest in financing sources significantly influences the development of the sector, which plays an important role in shaping the economies of Poland and the EU. In the analyzed years, the SME sector increased its efficiency and to a large extent adapted to the conditions prevailing on the market.
