Specifity of the Administration System in the Inca Empire

W dzisiejszych czasach nie ulega wątpliwości, iż Imperium Inków należało do najbardziej rozwiniętych i najpotężniejszych kultur, jakie istniały w Ameryce Łacińskiej przed przybyciem Krzysztofa Kolumba na jej terytoria. Źródła niewątpliwego sukcesu Tahuantinsuyu rozpatrywane są w wielu publikacjach należących zarówno do literatury polskojęzycznej, jak i obcej. Celem mojej pracy jest analiza zawężonego aspektu działania Imperium, jakim jest sposób administracji państwa przez władzę centralną. Postaram się udowodnić, iż stopień biurokratyzacji oraz odgórnej kontroli narzuconej przez Inków lokalnym grupom był niespotykanie wysoki w porównaniu do innych kultur Mezoameryki, a sprawna organizacja i geniusz administracyjny w znacznym stopniu przyczyniły się do uzyskania przez Tahuantinsuyu tak szerokich wpływów w Ameryce Południowej. Uważam to zagadnienie za godne analizy zwłaszcza, iż często przy omawianiu tematu Imperium Inków uwaga skupia się w głównej mierze na kulturze, czy architekturze ich państwa, podczas gdy wątki związane z zasadami jego funkcjonowania zostają zaledwie zaznaczone.

Nowadays it is generally known that Inca Empire was the most powerful and developed cultures which had existed in the Latin America before Christopher Columbus arrived on its territory. Sources of the undoubted success of the Tahuantinsuyu are considered in the various publications, both in polish and international literature. The aim of my work is to analyse administration system of the Empire performed by the central rule. I will try to prove that the level of the bureaucratization and the control dictated by the Incas to the local groups were unprecedentedly high comparing to the other cultures of the Mesoamerica and that the skillful organisation and administration genius made it possible to Tahuantinsuyu to gain such a wide range of influence among t he South America. I consider this topic as a worth to be analysed especially, that people mostly pay attention to the cultural or architectural site of the Inca's Empire state, while subjects linked with the administration system are barely even mentioned.
