Praca podsumowuje długi okres rządów białoruskiego prezydenta śledząc jego drogę w polityce od triumfu po wygraniu pierwszych demokratycznych wyborów prezydenckich na Białorusi do porażki, zmaterializowanej w wielotysięcznych długotrwałych protestach przeciwko brutalnie sfałszowanym wyborom w sierpniu 2020 roku.Na początku opisano biografię Alaksandra Łukaszenki oraz wydarzenia, które doprowadziły go do władzy. Następnie analizie poddano pięć kadencji prezydenckich białoruskiego przywódcy. Scharakteryzowano wypracowany model legitymizacji władzy. Ostatni rozdział poświęcony został analizie wewnętrznych i zewnętrznych determinant stabilności reżimu politycznego na Białorusi. Praca uzasadnia ustabilizowanie niedemokratycznych rządów w kraju po upadku Związku Radzieckiego.

The thesis summarizes the long period of the Belarusian president's rule by tracing his path in politics from the triumph after winning the first democratic presidential election in Belarus to defeat, materialized in long-term protests of thousands of people against the brutally rigged elections in August 2020.At the beginning, the biography of Alyaksandr Lukashenka and the events that led him to power were described. Then, the five presidential terms of the Belarusian leader were analyzed. The developed model of the legitimization of power was characterized. The last chapter was devoted to the analysis of internal and external determinants of the stability of the political regime in Belarus. The thesis justifies the stabilization of undemocratic governments in the country after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
