Celem pracy jest opisanie języka występującego na forum matematycznym. Za materiał badawczy posłużyły w niej wypowiedzi użytkowników forum matematyka.pl. Praca została podzielona na dwie części. W pierwszej podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, jakie miejsce wśród funkcjonalnych odmian polszczyzny zajmuje język matematyki. Pierwszy rozdział stanowi bazę teoretyczną; wprowadzono charakterystykę języka specjalistycznego i naukowego oraz zdefiniowano język matematyki. Rozdział drugi jest opisem materiału badawczego; dwa kolejne rozdziały prezentują wypowiedzi użytkowników matematyki.pl, które pozwalają stwierdzić, jak wygląda przekaz informacji na forum. Część druga jest dokładniejszą analizą materiału. Zbadano język forum pod kątem cech języka matematycznego. Analizie został poddany słownik i gramatyka występujące w materiale badawczym. Ostatni rozdział stanowi podsumowanie pracy i prezentuje najważniejsze wnioski.

This BA thesis has been written to describe the language of forum on mathematic. Posts of members of matematyka.pl forum were used as a research material. The thesis was divided into two parts. In the first one the author attempts to answer the question what is the place of the language of mathematics among functional variations of Polish. The first chapter provides a theoretical basis; the characteristics of the specialised and scientific language were introduced and the language of mathematics was defined. The next one is the description of the research data; the following two chapters present posts of the members of matematyka.pl that allow the author to determine in what way information on the forum is communicated.The second part is a more accurate analysis of the material. The language of the forum was analysed due to the characteristics qualities of the language of mathematics. The dictionary and grammar from the research data were analysed. The last chapter summarizes the thesis and presents the most important conclusions.
