Mother's influence on the personality on a child in the 19s and 20s

The literature of the 19th and 20th century presents different visions of motherhood. The relation that connects a women with a child has a great influence on a development of every person. Memories of childhood and mother's love are of great importance in people's adult life. The chosen works by Maria Konopnicka, Eliza Orzeszkowa, Gabriela Zapolska present the mother's negative influence on personality of a daughter as well as a mother's role in the adult life of her. The heroes of these writers live in the world in which the most important thing is the social position. Mother's feelings towards a child are not important and valued. Bringing up a child in a single-parent family influences kid's future life in a bad way. A single mother is not able to give her children a father. ''Dym" by Maria Konopnicka describes a pure love of a mother to a child. The picture of a suffering shows Eliza Orzeszkowa in the composition ''Tadeusz".
