Didgeridoo - the history of career the instrument

Niniejsza praca dotyczy historii aborygeńskiego instrumentu didjeridu. Opisuje historię Aborygenów australijskich, ich obrzędy i związane z nimi czynności, pieśni oraz towarzyszące im instrumentarium. Następnie w pracy zostały zawarte informacje o samym instrumencie didjeridu: jego skomplikowanym nazewnictwie, pochodzeniu geograficznym i historycznym, budowie, fizycznych właściwościach, technikach gry oraz właściwościach leczniczych. Na końcu skupiłam się na wykorzystaniu didjeridu w muzyce współczesnej, gdzie cieszy się ogromną popularnością wśród różnych gatunków muzycznych. Opisałam kilku wykonawców i zespoły, które miały i nadal mają wpływ na jego popularyzację na całym świecie.

This work concerns a history of Aboriginal didjeridu instrument. It describes the history of the Australian Aborigines, their rites and related activities, songs and accompanying instruments. It also contains information about the instrument didjeridu: its complicated terminology, geographical and historical origin, structure, physical properties, playing techniques and medicinal properties. At the end I focused on the use of didjeridu in contemporary music, where it is very popular among various music genres. I described a number of artists and bands that have had and continue to have an impact on its popularization around the world.
