Praca jest próbą wyodrębnienia archetypu świętej góry, poprzez przegląd cech i funkcji gór uważanych za święte na obszarze całego świata. Ma na celu również ukazanie jak silny jest wpływ tegoż archetypu na kulturę, sztukę oraz życie społeczne. Położyłam również spory nacisk na próbę wyjaśnienia przyczyn sakralizacji gór.
Abstract in English
The work is an attempt to extract the archetype of the sacred mountain, by reviewing the features and functions of mountains considered sacred all over the world. Also aims to show how strong is the influence of that archetype on culture, art and social life. I put the big emphasis on trying to explain the causes of sacralization of mountains.
