Problemy koncepcji egzystencji autentycznej w filozofii Martina Heideggera i Jean-Paul Sartre'a.
The Problems of Authentic Existence in the Philosophy of Martin Heidegger and Jean-Paul Sartre.
Autentyczność, egzystencja, wolność, prawda
Authenticity, existence, freedom, truth
The aim of my work was to present proposed by Heidegger and Sartre concepts of authentic existence and to consider the problems which are connected with understanding those terms of authenticity. An overview of two models of authentic human life (Chapter Three) was preceded by an outline of basic terms for both thinkers’ philosophies (Chapter One), and an illustration of patterns in the inauthentic existence (Chapter Two), which is primeval towards the authentic one. The fourth chapter provides a critical look at those presented in the previous chapters reflections. A common core of both Heidegger’s and Sartre’s concepts of the authentic existence is an interpretation of the authentic human as the self-accepting one, which means – discovering and recognizing the truth that cannot be overcome, and which come from the very structure of the human being. Key role in both Heidegger’s and Sartre’s concepts play terms such as nothingness, freedom, project and anxiety. However, between the structure of Dasein ("being-here") and being-for-itself (consciousness), there are significant differences, which leads to different ways of developing and clarifying the authenticity in both philosophers’ cases. According to Heidegger the authentic existence means an conscious being-toward-death; Sartre considers the authentic life as a conscious use of person’s freedom and accepting following consequences, that is responsibility.Among many significant allegations against thoughts of Heidegger and Sartre are their disregard towards rules of logic and their use of poetic or literary, full of metaphors and neologisms, language. There’s no denying that Heidegger and Sartre get close in their works on philosophy to poetry and literature. Thus, however, confirm their view on the authentic existence: neither proper understanding nor discussing it is possible on the purely scientific basis. The place of a scientist bounded by scientific rules is therefore taken by a person, who is able to reach the truth, that is, a poet or writer.
