Abstract in English
This paper shows typical creatures existing in myths and legends of old and modern societies of South America. The essey is divided into two parts. In the first part the author describes creatures in pre-Columbian religions. The second part shows three typical modern legends about "La Llorana", "Chupacabra" and zombie, presenting its background and possible inspirations taken from old beliefs.
