Praca opisuje działalność przedstawicieli rosyjskiej awangardy muzycznej początku XX w. Podzielona została na dwa rozdziały. Pierwszy rozdział dotyczy lat 1900-1920 i skupia się na twórczości dwóch wielkich kompozytorów – Aleksandra Skriabina i Igora Strawińskiego oraz pierwszych, muzycznych futurystów. Rozdział drugi (lata 1920-1940) poświęcony został nowym muzycznym zjawiskom i kompozytorom-eksperymentatorom działającym w latach 20. Porusza też kwestie represji w środowisku muzycznym związanych z wprowadzeniem doktryny socrealizmu.
This paper describes music of the Russian avant-garde in the beginning of the 20th century. It consists of two chapters. The first is devoted to two most popular composers - Alexander Scriabin and Igor Stravinsky. In addition, the reader is presented with activity of the first russian futurists. The second chapter describes newly emerging musical phenomena and their experimental characteristics of the 20's. In the end, the chapter raises the question of repression in the musical environment due to the introduction of the doctrine of socialist realism.
