Arjuna's divine weapon

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie Ardźuny jako bohatera eposu indyjskiego oraz zarysowanie koncepcji broni boskiej, która pojawia się między innymi w Mahabharacie, a także przedstawienie podziału tradycyjnego indyjskiego wojska oraz broni tradycyjnej. Pierwsza część pracy to analiza porównawcza bohatera eposu indyjskiego na przykładzie Ardźuny z bohaterem eposu europejskiego. W drugim rozdziale pracy został przedstawiony podział broni na podstawie wybranych dzieł. Tam został także stworzony i umieszczony jeden ze schematów podziału broni, która występuje w Mahabharacie, broni tradycyjnej. Rozdział drugi także został uzupełniony o opisy wybranych broni: łuku, strzały, jantry, miecza, maczugi, topora, dysku oraz innych. Zaś w rozdziale trzecim przedstawiono podział oręża obejmujący także narzędzia walki wykorzystujące magię oraz boską energię. Bardziej szczegółowo opisano broń boską, szczególnie tą, której posiadaczem jest Ardźuna. Wyjaśniono również koncepcję tedźas, które jest istotnym pojęciem w kontekście takiego oręża.

The aim of this work is to present Arjuna as the hero of the Indian epic and to outline the concept of divine weapons, which appears, among others, in the Mahabharata, as well as to present the division of the traditional Indian army and traditional weapons. The first part of the work is a comparative analysis of the hero of the Indian epic on the example of Arjuna with the hero of the European epic. The second chapter of the work presents the division of weapons based on selected works. There was also created one of the schemes of the division of traditional weapons that appears in the Mahabharata. The second chapter has also been supplemented with descriptions of selected weapons: bow, arrow, yantra, sword, club, ax, disk, and others. The third chapter presents the division of weapons, which also includes combat tools that use magic and divine energy. The divine weapons, especially those owned by Arjuna, are described in more detail. The concept of tejas, which is an important idea in the context of such a weapon, is also explained.
