Praca koncentruje się na wykryciu schematów w przedstawianiu postaci ojcowskich w filmach animowanych studiów Disney Animation Studios, Disney Television Animation, oraz Pixar z lat 1990-2024. Bazuje na teorii męskości hegemonicznej Raewyn Connel, męskości opiekuńczych Karli Elliot oraz koncepcji ,,doing family'' Davida Morgana.Badanie ma charakter jakościowy i wykorzystuje analizę treści filmów animowanych, wspartą systemem kodowym obejmującym działania bohaterów, warstwę audiowizualną i narrację. Próba badawcza obejmuje dwanaście filmów, w których występuje figura ojca jako element fabuły.Celem pracy było odtworzenie typologii ojcostwa obecnej w popkulturze oraz zbadanie przemian w jego reprezentacjach na przestrzeni dekad. Analiza wykazała obecność trzech głównych modeli: tradycyjnego, nowoczesnego oraz hybrydowego, przy czym coraz częściej pojawiają się wzorce łączące elementy obu skrajnych typów.Praca wskazuje, że animacje nie tylko odzwierciedlają przemiany społeczne, lecz także współtworzą dyskurs na temat ról rodzicielskich, podważając binarny podział ojcostwa i akcentując jego płynność oraz performatywny charakter.

The thesis focuses on identifying patterns in the representation of father figures in animated films produced by Disney Animation Studios, Disney Television Animation, and Pixar between 1990 and 2024. It draws on Raewyn Connell’s theory of hegemonic masculinity, Karla Elliott’s concept of caring masculinities, and David Morgan’s notion of doing family.The study is qualitative in nature and employs content analysis of animated films, supported by a coding system encompassing characters’ actions, audiovisual elements, and narrative structures. The research sample consists of twelve films in which the figure of the father appears as a narrative element.The aim of the thesis was to reconstruct the typology of fatherhood present in popular culture and to examine changes in its representations over the decades. The analysis identified three main models: traditional, modern, and hybrid, with an increasing prevalence of patterns combining elements of both extremes.The thesis argues that animated films not only reflect social transformations but also actively shape the discourse on parental roles, challenging the binary division of fatherhood and emphasizing its fluid and performative character.
