The Problem of Refugees on the Example of Citizens of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest problem uchodźstwa na przykładzie obywateli Koreańskiej Republiki Ludowo - Demokratycznej. Celem badań było wykazanie, że problem uchodźstwa, istniejąc na świecie od dawna, jest wciąż aktualny, w szczególności w Korei Północnej. W pracy przedstawiono okoliczności powstania państwa północnokoreańskiego oraz scharakteryzowano je pod względem polityczno - społecznym. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na konsekwencje wynikające z przyjętych przez państwo norm i zasad, jakimi są przypadki nieustannego łamania praw człowieka. Ukazano jak przy pomocy niehumanitarnych metod egzekwuje się posłuszeństwo obywateli wobec prawa. Zobrazowano życie dnia codziennego przeciętnego mieszkańca Korei Północnej zestawiając go z ideologią oraz kultem jednostki. W oparciu o relacje wybranych osób, którym udało się uciec, uargumentowano tezę, że problem uchodźstwa w Korei Północnej jest problemem realnym, poważnym i że nie można go ignorować.

The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is the problem of refugees on the example of citizens of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The purpose of the research is to show that the problem of refugees, which has long been present in the world, is still relevant today, particularly in North Korea. The thesis introduces the circumstances of state formation and the socio-political characteristics of North Korea. Particular attention was paid to the consequences of the norms and rules practiced by the government which are the cases of continuous human rights violations. In this paper, it is shown how the law is enforced by means of inhumane practices. Everyday life of an ordinary North Korea citizen has been depicted and contrasted with the dominant ideology as well as the cult of personality. On the basis of the statements made by people who were able to escape North Korea, it is argued that the problem of refugees in this country is real, severe and cannot be ignored.
