Praca jest analizą zjawiska twarzy jako medium. Jest to próba zrozumienia twarzy, która funkcjonuje jako nośnik informacji, jako komunikat i jako generator znaczeń. Ujęcie antropologiczne pozwala spojrzeć szerzej na samą twarz, która jest istotnym elementem kultury już od czasów starożytnych. Przykłady filmowe dotyczyć będą bohaterek kobiecych, których twarze stały się kluczowe we wnikliwym zrozumieniu fabuły. Umieszczenie kobiecej twarzy w konkretnych okolicznościach i sytuacjach, daje możliwość na wybrzmienie feministycznego ujęcia tematu; jak maskarada kobiecości, spojrzenie jako element narracji, sposób ekspresji kobiet, a także ich roli w społeczeństwie.

The work is an analysis of the phenomenon of the face as a medium. It is an attempt to understand a face that functions as an information, as a message, and as a generator of meanings. The anthropological approach, allows us to look at the face itself, which has been an important element of culture since ancient times. The film examples will concern female protagonists, whose faces have become key in a thorough understanding of the plot. Placing a woman's face in specific circumstances and situations allows for a feminist approach to the subject to sound out; as a masquerade of femininity, the view as an element of narrative, a way of expressing women, as well as their role in society
