Invasive species as a threat to native nature

Celem niniejszej pracy było przedstawienie zagrożeń różnorodności biologicznej,ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem wpływu gatunków obcych. Praca dotyczy obcych gatunków zwierząt, a w zwłaszcza ssaków. W opracowaniu przedstawiono powtarzalne schematy przebiegu ekspansji gatunków, to jest fazę osiedlania się, ekspansji i wysycenia. Opisane zostały warunki, które muszą spełniać zarówno organizmy, jak i sam obszar objęty inwazją. Przedstawiono dwa typy wprowadzenia nowego gatunku, to jest introdukcję i inwazję, wrazz przykładami dla obydwóch typów zasiedlania. W pracy zaprezentowano również przykłady gatunków obcych w faunie Polski. Omówiono również najważniejsze dokumenty w sprawie ochrony różnorodności biologicznej, to jest Konwencję o różnorodności biologicznej oraz Paneuropejską Strategię Różnorodności Biologicznej i Krajobrazowej.

The purpose of this work was to show threats to biological diversity, with special regard of non-native species. The work concerns animals species, especially mammals. The elaboration was concentrated on patterns of these expansion course, as they are usually repetitive and typically includes three phases: settling, expansion and saturation. There were given conditions, that have to be fulfill by both new, alien species and area endangered by invasion. They are two types of entering of the new species, that is introduction and invasion, and several examples of species for both these types were presented. In current work there were given also an examples of invasive species occurred in Poland. The most important documents on biological diversity were discussed, like the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Pan-European Biological and Landscape Diversity Strategy.
