Przedmiotem pracy jest nacjonalizm w ujęciu Rabindranatha Tagore. Praca zawiera opis pojęcia nacjonalizmu, skróconą historię Bengalu oraz rozwoju nacjonalizmu w Indiach. Ponadto zawiera opis renesansu bengalskiego oraz życiorysy Mahatmy Gandhiego oraz Rabindranatha tagore wraz z przybliżeniem ich poglądów. Podsumowaniem pracy jest konfrontacja Gandhiego i Tagore'a oraz ocena poglądów Tagore'a.
This thesis consists of shortened history of Bengal, and nationalism in India. Main problem of it is nationalism according to rabindranath Tagore. Short biographies of Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi are also incuded as well as description of their views. Conclusion of the thesis is confrontation of Tagore and Gandhi opinions on India ant nationalism, and as a summary Tagore view on it is assesed.
