Kresowiana in the manuscript collections of the Jagiellonian Library and the Foundation of the Centre for Documentation of the Independence Action in Krakow on selected examples

W prezentowanym artykule autor starał się ukazać na wybranych przykładach najciekawsze materiały dotyczące Kresów Wschodnich RP znajdujące się w zbiorach sekcji rękopisów Biblioteki Jagiellońskiej oraz w zbiorach działającej przy bibliotece Fundacji Centrum Dokumentacji Czynu Niepodległościowego. Autor pisze, że do zbiorów Biblioteki Jagiellońskiej, jak i do zbiorów Fundacji Centrum Dokumentacji po 1945 roku napłynęło szczególnie dużo materiałów o wielkiej wartości naukowej dokumentujących wielowiekową obecność ludności polskiej na terenach dzisiejszej Białorusi, Litwy czy Ukrainy, przekazanych zarówno przez samych kresowian jak i inne osoby. Wśród przekazanych materiałów pisze autor, można znaleźć różnego rodzaju dokumenty, fotografie, czy materiały pamiętnikarskie. Wiele ze wspomnianych materiałów stanowi część większych kolekcji przekazanych do naszych zbiorów by wymienić Archiwum Jerzego Polaczka, Archiwum 2 Pułku Szwoleżerów, Archiwum Tarnopolskie Czesława Blicharskiego czy Archiwum Jerzego Węgierskiego.

In this article, the author attempts to highlight, through selected examples, the most interesting materials concerning the Eastern Borderlands of the Republic of Poland, found in the manuscripts section of the Jagiellonian Library and in the collections of the Center for Documentation of the Independence Movement Foundation, which operates within the library. The author notes that after 1945, the Jagiellonian Library and the Documentation Center Foundation received a particularly large influx of materials of great scholarly value, documenting the centuries-long presence of the Polish population in the territories of present-day Belarus, Lithuania, and Ukraine. Donated by both the Kresy residents themselves and others, the author notes that among the donated materials are various documents, photographs, and memoirs. Many of these materials are part of larger collections donated to our collections, including the Jerzy Polaczek Archive, the Archive of the 2nd Light Cavalry Regiment, the Czesław Blicharski Tarnopol Archive, and the Jerzy Węgierski Archive.
