Plant-based raw materials in the care of infants and babies

W niniejszej pracy omówiono rośliny i surowce z nich pozyskane, z uwzględnieniem tych rzadko spotykanych, szczególnie w kosmetykach przeznaczonych dla dzieci. W pracy zostały opisane następujące gatunki roślin: Centaurea cyanus L., Plantago lanceolata L., Elymus repens, Azadirachta indica A. Juss., Borago officinalis L., Rubus chamaemorus L., Sesamum indicum L., Urtica dioica L. Opisano najważniejsze związki chemiczne w nich zawarte oraz ich znaczenie w medycynie i kosmetologii. Zaprezentowano również przykładowe produkty kosmetyczne dla dzieci i niemowląt, które zawierają w swoim składzie składniki z nich pozyskiwane. W pracy skupiono się na kosmetykach do higieny, czyli na płynach do kąpieli, żelach pod prysznic i szamponach. Przedstawiono także pokrótce budowę skóry dorosłych i dzieci, a także wyszczególniono różnice anatomiczne i funkcjonalne między nimi.

This study discusses plants and raw materials derived from them, including those that are rarely found, particularly in cosmetics intended for children. The following plant species are described in the paper: Centaurea cyanus L., Plantago lanceolata L., Elymus repens, Azadirachta indica A. Juss., Borago officinalis L., Rubus chamaemorus L., Sesamum indicum L., Urtica dioica L. The key chemical compounds found in these plants and their significance in medicine and cosmetology are explained. The paper also presents examples of cosmetic products for children and infants that contain ingredients derived from these plants. The focus is on hygiene cosmetics, specifically bath liquids, shower gels, and shampoos. Additionally, the structure of adult and children's skin is briefly outlined, highlighting the anatomical and functional differences between them.
