"I want to multiply my hands and to have tousands of lips and tousands of pupils" : a touch of desire and a woman's body : on the hapticity in Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer's erotic poems

The aim of this article is to analyse the motif of touch in Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer's erotic poems. The author uses theories of the hapticity, especially Marta Smolińska's concept of the 'extended hapticity' and Mark Paterson's theory about relations between the sense of touch and affects. The article shows connections between an attracting energy of the desire and the touch. The author analyses the hapticity of the light, woman's voice, dreams and imaginations and the tactfulness between bodies. The sense of touch in Tetmajer's erotic poetry is present not only when the woman's body is directly touched by the lyrical subject, but also in other senses: the sight or the hearing.
