"Londyńczycy" to serial powstały na bazie wywiadów, które przeprowadzili scenarzyści, by oddać realia panujące wśród Polaków na emigracji. Wybrano Londyn, który od lat II wojny światowej jest głównym ośrodkiem polskości zagranicą. Jest to obraz polskiej społeczności nowej migracji zarobkowej, która nieprzerwanie trwa od późnych lat 90. Jest to portret, w którym brak upiększeń i ubarwień. Mamy do czynienia z plejadą bohaterów: karierowiczów i nuworyszy, ludzi ambitnych i dążących do celu oraz tych, którzy obcują ze światem przestępczym, uciekają przed przeszłością, a także pogrążają się w nałogach w tęsknocie. Serial do tego typu przedstawień wydaje się być akuratny - dociera do szerokiego grona odbiorców oraz prezentuje im ich samych. Poruszono temat zarówno kultury popularnej oraz historii Polaków na Wyspach Brytyjskich, gdzie stworzono podwaliny pod rekonstrukcję świata polskiego poza jego granicami. Praca ta jest uwypukleniem problematyki percepcji polskości przez samych Polaków oraz Brytyjczyków.

"Londynczycy" is the TV series created by scriptwriters which spent months in London interviewing the Poles settled in London. They tried to create a TV image of true reality during the migration. They chose London because of the number of Polish there. It is a picture of polish community of the new econimic migration towards western Europe from late 90s. It is a portrayal void of trimming and colorization. There is only plain pleiade of characters: careerists and new-riches, the ambitious and focussed and people from the underworld and in unhealthy habits with longing in their heart as well. The best way to present that view is TV series. It is open to the public and show them themselves. The part of the thesis is dedicated to the pop culture and history of the Poles in Great Britain, where they created a foundation for the reconstruction of the polish world abroad. The thesis is the crown of a problematic aspects of the perception of Poles by themselves and Britons as well.
