What future awaits us? Technological changes and their impact to the labor market

Praca magisterska związana jest z problematyką zmian technologicznych i ich wpływem na rynek pracy i szerzej na nasze codzienne życie. Zmiany technologiczne stanowią bowiem swego rodzaju wyzwanie dla współczesnego świata - w dobie nowej ery Przemysłu 4.0 postępują bardzo szybko i mogą przynieść wiele gruntownych zmian. Problemem badawczym tej pracy jest więc stosunek respondentów do zjawiska, jakim jest postęp technologiczny i związana z nim automatyzacja i robotyzacja miejsc pracy. Sprawdzony został również poziom akceptacji respondentów do współpracy z robotem w miejscu pracy oraz deklarowana chęć pracy z tego typu robotem. Badania umożliwiły również poznanie opinii respondentów na temat ich wyobrażeń przyszłości i opinii, w jakim kierunku idą zmiany kształtowane przez nowe technologie. W niniejszej pracy znajdują się takie zagadnienia jak: charakterystyka zmian, jakie możemy obserwować i przewidywać na rynku pracy w dobie czwartej rewolucji przemysłowej - tak zwanego “Przemysłu 4.0”. Poruszony jest także wpływ nowych technologii na różne aspekty naszego życia. Ważną kwestią z punktu widzenia mojej pracy jest przedstawienie nowego typu robotów współpracujących, czyli cobotów. Jeśli mówimy o postępie technologicznym, należało też wspomnieć o sztucznej inteligencji (AI) i strategiach jej rozwoju w przodujących państwach. W pracy zawarte są również przewidywania na temat naszej przyszłości oraz opinie na temat następstw, jakie mają miejsce w dobie zmian technologicznych. Dodatkowo przedstawione są różne strategie, które mogą pomóc Polsce wkroczyć w czwartą rewolucję przemysłową, w tym opisany jest obecny stan zaawansowania technologicznego naszego kraju.

The issues of this master's thesis are technological changes and their impact on the labor market and our everyday life. Technological changes are kind of challenge for the modern world - in the age of the new era of Industry 4.0 - that changes are progressing rapidly and can bring many major transformations. The main research problem is the attitude of respondents to the technological progress and an automation and robotization of workplaces. This research also checked the level of respondents’ acceptance to cooperate with a robot in the workplace and their readiness to work with this type of robot. The research also made a chance to find out the opinions of respondents about their perceptions of the future and their judgment about which direction changes shaped by new technologies are going.This master's thesis include issues such as: characteristic of the changes that we can observe and predict on the labor market during the "Industry 4.0", and the impact of new technologies on various aspects of our lives. An important issue of this master's thesis is also the presentation of a new type of collaborative robots - cobots. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and development strategies in leading countries also were mentioned. Moreover there are described various predictions about our future and opinions about the consequences that are taking place in the age of technological changes. Another described issues are various Polish strategies leading to the development and implementation of Industry 4.0 and the current state of technological advancement of our country.
