Digital payments and the real estate sector in Poland after the COVID-19 epidemic

Celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest przedstawienie sytuacji na rynku nieruchomości w Polsce po epidemii COVID-19. Praca skupia się na rynku pierwotnym i nieruchomościach deweloperskich. Analizie został poddany wpływ kryzysu gospodarczego spowodowanego COVID-19. Przedstawione zostały również inne problemy (zarówno od strony popytu, jak i od strony podaży), trendy (statystyki rządowe i od największych polskich deweloperów) oraz przewidywania na przyszłość. Praca odpowiada również na pytanie, jakie czynniki wpływają na wzrost cen mieszkań w Polsce i jak zmieniały się ceny mieszkań na przestrzeni ostatnich lat. Analizie poddany został również sektor płatności cyfrowych i występujące na nim zjawiska na przestrzeni ostatnich lat. Praca ma na celu wykazanie, jak ważną częścią sektora gospodarczego są płatności cyfrowe, jak nowe technologie wywierają wpływ na nowe modele finansowe oraz czy bezpośredni wpływ na tę sferę miała pandemia COVID-19. Przedstawione zostały najpopularniejsze w Polsce instrumenty płatnicze i trendy. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów, tj. teoretycznego (1), poruszającego tematykę płatności cyfrowych (2) i sektora nieruchomości (3), wstępu i podsumowania.

The aim of this master's thesis is to present the situation on the real estate market in Poland after the COVID-19 epidemic. The thesis focuses on the primary market and flats built by developers. Other problems (both on the demand and supply side), trends (government statistics and statistics from the largest Polish developers) and predictions for the future are also presented. The work also answers the question of what factors influence the increase in housing prices in Poland and how housing prices have changed in recent years. The digital payments sector and its’ changes in recent years were also analyzed. The work aims to show how important are digital payments in the economic sector, how new technologies affect new financial models, and whether this area was directly influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. The problems of this sector were also discussed. The most popular payment instruments in Poland and trends are also presented. The work consists of three chapters, i.e. theoretical (1), dealing with the subject of digital payments (2) and the real estate sector (3), an introduction and a summary.
