Inequalities between eigenvalues and singular values of complex matrix

W pracy zostały przedstawione Twierdzenie Weyla oraz twierdzenie odwrotne do Twierdzenia Weyla, które dotyczą nierówności pomiędzy modułem iloczynu wartości własnych a iloczynem wartości singularnych macierzy zespolonej. Ze względu na to, że problem znajdowania wartości własnych jest źle uwarunkowany natomiast problem znajdowania wartości singularnych jest dobrze uwarunkowany, wyżej wymienione twierdzenia są niezwykle istotne. Praca opiera się o oryginalny artykuł Horna. W pracy zawarty został także przykład macierzy dla której zachodzą ostre nierówności pomiędzy iloczynem wartości singularnych a iloczynem wartości własnych.

The Bachelor’s thesis contains the Weyl's Theorem and the converse theorem to the Weyl's. These theorems consider the inequalities between modulus of the product of the eigenvalues and the product of the singular values of complex matrix. Due to badly conditioned problem of finding eigenvalues and well conditioned problem of finding singular values, the above-mentioned theorems are really important. This thesis is based on Horn's original article. There is also included the example of a matrix for which strict inequalities occur.
