Contrastive analysis of collocations in German and Polish based on the novel by Karen Winter "Tęsknota za Rygą"

Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy jest problematyka kolokacji oraz ich kontrastywna analiza w języku polskim i niemieckim. Celem tej pracy jest pokazanie, w jakim stopniu kolokacje w obu językach różnią się od siebie pod względem syntaktycznym i semantycznym. Niniejsza praca składa się z części teoretycznej i praktycznej. Część teoretyczna przedstawia różne pojęcia terminu „kolokacja”, klasyfikację kolokacji wg kryteriów syntaktycznych oraz semantyczno-leksykalnych. Następnie traktuje ona o rozróżnieniu kolokacji od innych związków wyrazowych. Ostatni rozdział tej części został poświęcony ekwiwalencji. Druga, praktyczna część pracy jest korpusem przykładów kolokacji utworzonym na podstawie powieści Karen Winter „Tęsknota za Rygą”. Kolokacje w korpusie zostały pogrupowane pod względem ekwiwalencji.

The topic of this thesis addresses problematic issues of collocations and their contrastive analysis in Polish and German. The aim of this thesis is to show in what extent collocations differ in terms of syntactic and semantic features in the aforementioned languages. It consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part presents different concepts of the term "collocation" as well as a classification of collocations according to the criteria of syntax and lexical-semantics. Then, it shows the distinction between collocations and other word combinations. The last chapter of this section is devoted to the equivalence. The second and practical part of the thesis is a corpus of collocation examples derived from the novel by Karen Winter "Tęsknota za Rygą". The collocations in the corpus are grouped in terms of equivalence.

Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit der Problematik der Kollokationen im deutsch-polnischen Sprachvergleich. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, aufgrund des Korpus, Schlussfolgerungen zu ziehen, in welchem Masse die Unterschiede in kulturell und geographisch nahe liegenden Sprachen in der Bedeutung und Struktur der Kollokationen beobachtet werden können. Diese Arbeit besteht aus zwei Teilen: einen theoretischen und einen praktischen. Der erste Abschnitt der theoretischen Teil besteht in der Erarbeitung von verschiedenen Interpretationen des Begriffs Kollokation. Dann werden die Merkmale der Kollokationen bestimmt. Im folgenden Kapitel wurde auf das Problem der Klassifikation von Kollokationen nach strukturellen und semantisch-lexikalischen Kriterien aufmerksam gemacht. Im nächsten Kapitel handelt es sich um die Unterscheidung der Kollokationen von anderen Wortverbindungen. Das letzte Kapitel des theoretischen Teils wurde der zwischensprachlichen Äquivalenz gewidmet. Der praktische Teil wird in drei Kapitel gegliedert: totale, partielle und lexikalische Äquivalenz und stellt die Auflistung der Kollokationen dar. Das Korpus wurde des Romans „Sehnsucht nach Riga“ von Karen Winter entnommen.
