Basel III - post-crisis regulation in the banking and financial system

The presented work takes issues regarding the regulations concerning the financial system, on which work has been taken following the emergence of the crisis of the years 2007 - 2009. However, my work focuses not only on this topic, but it also presents issues relating to the first regulations in the field of banking supervision, which were the work of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the Basel I and Basel II, as well as the causes, course and consequences of the recent financial crisis, and the situation of the banking sector during his lifetime. The crux of the work is to describe the arrangements and proposals for financial and banking sector, which had been reported during the crisis and immediately after its end. My study found the answer to the question whether the new proposals in the field of banking supervision are able to meet expectations in terms of stabilizing the financial sector and banking in the world and in the future to prevent such crises as that of the years 2007 - 2009.

Prezentowana praca podejmuje kwestie dotyczące uregulowań z zakresu systemu finansowego, a ściślej nadzoru bankowego, nad którymi prace podjęto w następstwie pojawienia się kryzysu z lat 2007 – 2009. Praca nie skupia się jednak tylko i wyłącznie na tym temacie, ale przedstawia również zagadnienia dotyczące pierwszych uregulowań z zakresu nadzoru bankowego, które były dziełem Bazylejskiego Komitetu Nadzoru Bankowego, czyli Bazylea I i Bazylea II, a także przyczyny, przebieg i skutki ostatniego kryzysu finansowego, jak i sytuację sektora bankowego podczas jego trwania. Sednem pracy jest opis uregulowań i propozycji dotyczących sektora finansowego i bankowego, które zostały zgłoszone w trakcie trwania kryzysu i bezpośrednio po jego zakończeniu.
