The preparation of the teachers to provide first aid in the community of Tymbark

Streszczenie Przedmiot pracy stanowi problematyka stanu bezpieczeństwa w szkołach w Polsce, przede wszystkim w szkołach podstawowych i gimnazjach. Obniżająca się od roku szkolnego 2004/2005 liczba wypadków w polskich szkołach przestała zmniejszać się od roku szkolnego 2008/2009 (od czterech lat wynosi niezmiennie ok. 73-76 tys.), pomimo że w 2009 roku zostało wydane Rozporządzenie Ministra Zdrowia z dnia 26 sierpnia 2009 r. w sprawie przygotowania nauczycieli do prowadzenia zajęć edukacyjnych w zakresie udzielania pierwszej pomocy, a Ministerstwo Oświaty opracowało programy do nauczania bezpiecznego zachowania się oraz pierwszej pomocy. W pracy omówiono zagadnienia związane z zdaniami i kompetencjami nauczyciela we współczesnej szkole oraz przygotowaniem nauczycieli do udzielania pierwszej pomocy i prowadzenia zajęć edukacyjnych z jej zakresu. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na najczęstsze urazy i wypadki w szkołach. Opisane zostały także regulacje prawne pierwszej pomocy przedmedycznej, edukacja uczniów z zakresu pierwszej pomocy przedmedycznej oraz zasady pierwszej pomocy przedmedycznej. W ramach pracy przeprowadzono badania, które składały się z dwóch etapów (wykonanie resuscytacji krążeniowo-oddechowej i manewru Esmarcha na fantomie oraz ankieta). Celem badań było sprawdzenie przygotowania nauczycieli do udzielania pierwszej pomocy przedmedycznej. Uzyskane wyniki badań własnych wskazały, że liczba wypadków w szkołach przestała obniżać się od roku szkolnego 2008/2009 za sprawą nauczycieli. Nauczyciele nie posiadają wiedzy i umiejętności z zakresu pierwszej pomocy przedmedycznej, co świadczy o fakcie, że nie nauczają również zasad postępowania w nagłych wypadkach. Ministerstwo Oświaty nie jest w stanie kontrolować skutecznie uczestnictwa nauczycieli w szkoleniach i przeprowadzania przez nich zajęć z zakresu pierwszej pomocy. Problematyka będąca przedmiotem pracy ma znaczenie dla obniżenia liczby wypadków w polskich szkołach, których jest nieznacznie mniej niż wypadków przy pracy (według danych GUS).

Summary The subject of the thesis is the issue of safety in schools in Poland, most of all in primary schools and gymnasiums. Decreasing from the school year 2004/2005 the number of accidents in Polish schools ceased to fall from the school year 2008/2009 ( four years is consistently around 73-76 thousand .), despite the fact that in 2009 was issued Regulation of the Minister of Health from 26 August 2009 regarding the preparation of teachers to conduct classes in first aid , and the Ministry of Education has developed programs to teach safe behavior and first aid. The thesis discusses issues related to the tasks and competences of the teacher in modern school and also connected to the preparation of teachers for the first aid and carry out educational activities connected to it. Particular attention was paid to the most common injuries and accidents in schools. Additionally, there have been described some of the regulations related to the first aid, the education of students in the field of first aid and its rules. As part of the thesis, there had been carried out a study, which consisted of two phases ( performing the cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the jaw thrust on a mannequin and a survey). The aim of the study was to examine the preparation of teachers to provide first aid. The obtained results of the study indicated that the number of accidents in schools ceased to decline from the school year 2008/2009 due to the teachers. Teachers do not have the knowledge and skills in first aid, which proves the fact that they also never teach the rules of conduct in emergency situations. The Ministry of Education is not able to control effectively the participation of teachers in trainings and conducting their classes in first aid. The issue that is the subject of thesis is important to reduce the number of accidents in Polish schools, which is slightly less than the workplace accidents (according to GUS data).
