Orientacja na klienta w funkcjonowaniu recepcji hotelowej

master
The subject of this thesis is "Customer orientation in the functioning of a hotel reception." The main purpose of the diploma work is to examine the level of customer orientation with reference to reception staff at one of the hotels in Cracow. The dissertation is divided into three chapters and each handles a different issue. The first chapter attempts to characterize the ideas of customer orientation, namely, what it is, where it is derived from, through what methods it is implemented in the company and how it can affect its efficiency and good reputation of customers. The next chapter describes the nature of the reception work focusing on employees’ tasks. The author elaborates on the responsibilities and skills of a good receptionist which are considered to be essential in this profession. The purpose of this chapter is to highlight the role of a hotel reception department in the proper functioning of a hotel as well as show how much it can influence the opinions and decisions of potential customers. The final chapter is devoted to empirical research that has been carried out in the Chopin Hotel in Cracow. The survey was conducted on three groups of respondents: reception workers, hotel managers and hotel guests. The results and analysis were used in assessing the effectiveness of their reception work, their orientation on the customer and commitment to assigned duties. The conclusions indicate that the satisfaction of hotel guests and adequate service are the most important aspects in this profession. What is more, the effort made by receptionists is appreciated by customers who positively assess their work and are satisfied with the service.pl
