The northern fortifications at the archaeological site of Phalasarna on Crete

Najważniejsza część fortyfikacji w Falasarnie na Krecie była wybudowana w 333 roku p.n.e. Sugeruję, że mieszkańcy Falasarny byli zmuszeni do zniszczenia swoich nowych fortyfikacji zaledwie kilka lat po ich zbudowaniu. Artykuł udostępnia polskiemu czytelnikowi wyniki badań podjęte w ostatnich latach w północnych częściach fortyfikacji.

The most important part of the fortifications at Phalasarna on Crete were built in the year 333 BC. It will be suggested what the inhabitants of Phalasarna were compelled to destroy their new fortifications but a few years after they were built. This article makes available to a Polish readership the results of research undertaken over the last years on the northern part of the fortifications.
