Structure and functioning of the community of Franciscan Youth TAU

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie struktury i funkcjonowania jednej z młodzieżowych katolickich wspólnot kościelnych – Młodzieży Franciszkańskiej Tau oraz zbadanie motywacji przynależności do niej jej członków. W części wstępnej pracy zwrócono uwagę na historyczne wydarzenie, jakim był Sobór Watykański II, który umożliwił szeroką działalność osób świeckich w Kościele. Scharakteryzowano również najbardziej rozpoznawalne wspólnoty posoborowe. Najważniejsza część pracy dotyczy wspólnoty Młodzieży Franciszkańskiej Tau, która gromadzi młode osoby przy zakonie Braci Mniejszych Kapucynów Prowincji Krakowskiej. Strukturę organizacyjną, cel i zakres działalności tej wspólnoty o zasięgu ogólnopolskim określa statut. Ilość członków jest niewielka, ok. 200 osób. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań ankietowych wykazano, że najbardziej motywujące dla młodych ludzi do działania we wspólnocie są: samorozwój osobowy i duchowy, nawiązanie więzi koleżeńskich oraz poczucie akceptacji w grupie.

The main aim of this BA thesis is the presentation of the structure and functioning of the community called Franciscan Youth Tau. Moreover, the motivation of the affiliation to the Christian community has been determined. In the thesis, the insight into the Second Vatican Council has been provided. This historical event undertook the issue of the engagement of laypeople in the Catholic Church. What is more, the characteristics of laypeople movements in the Catholic Church as well as the description of chosen post-conciliar communities have been presented. In the thesis the considerable attention has been paid to the youth community Franciscan Youth Tau, which has been established by the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. On the basis of the analysis of the survey it can be concluded that the young people belonging to the above mentioned community are motivated by the following factors: the opportunity for the personal and spiritual self-development, the establishment of bonds within the community and the sense of acceptance in the group.
