Artykuł podejmuje problem kultury w ujęciu wybranych filozofów rosyjskich: S. Franka, L. Szestowa, M. Bierdiajewa, W. Rozanowa, W. Iwanowa, B. Wyszesławcewa, S. Bułgakowa, M. Gerszenzona. Prezentacja i towarzysząca jej analiza w głównej mierze skupiają się na kwestiach aksjologicznych. Podejmowane są między innymi takie problemy, jak: teorie kultury, stosunek wartości do historii, miejsce wartości w kulturze, relacje między wartościami, człowiek (sc. życie ludzkie) a świat wartości. Ujęcie wielogłosowości, na którą składają się oddzielne głosy poszczególnych myślicieli, pozwala na bardziej szczegółowe spojrzenie na problem kultury rosyjskiej pierwszej połowy XX wieku, a także może stanowić przyczynek do ogólnej teorii kultury, a zwłaszcza filozofii kultury.

The article discusses the problem of culture as it was understood by selected Russian philosophers: S.L. Frank, L.I. Shestov, N.A. Berdyaev, V.V. Rozanov, V.I. Ivanov, B.P. Vysheslavtsev, S.N. Bulgakov, and M.O. Gershenzon. The presentation and the related analyses mainly focus on the axiological assumptions. The issues investigated here include theories of culture, the relationship of value and history, the place of value in culture, the relations between values, and finally the human being (sc. human life) versus the world of values. This polytonal approach encompassing separate voices of the specific thinkers makes it possible to take a more detailed look at the problem of Russian culture in the first half of the twentieth century, and may contribute to the general theory of culture, and particularly to philosophy of culture.
