Unemployment, poverty and methods of combating them in Poland and selected European countries in 2013-2020

Praca zawiera wyjaśnienie bezrobocia oraz różnych definicji ubóstwa, przyczyny powstawania tych zjawisk, skutki oraz sposoby zwalczania. Praca przedstawia zjawisko bezrobocia oraz ubóstwa w latach 2013-2020 w Polsce oraz wybranych krajach Unii Europejskiej: Czechach, Grecji oraz Rumunii. Zostały przedstawione wskaźniki zagrożenia ubóstwem, stopa bezrobocia w tym zróżnicowanie bezrobocia ze względu na wiek, płeć, miejsce zamieszkania oraz wykształcenie. Przedstawione zostały sposoby zwalczania bezrobocia oraz ubóstwa. W pracy znajdują się formy ograniczania bezrobocia oferowane przez państwo takie jak bon stażowy, zasiłek dla bezrobotnych, wszelkiego rodzaju dofinansowania oraz refundacje kosztów. Uwzględnione zostały również główne przychody i wydatki Funduszu Pracy w omawianych latach. Przeprowadzona została również ankieta mająca na celu przedstawienie stosunku społeczeństwa do zjawiska bezrobocia oraz ubóstwa.

The work explains unemployment and the different definitions of poverty, the causes, the effects, and the ways in which it can be combated. The work describes unemployment and poverty in the period 2013-2020 in Poland and selected countries of the European Union: The Czech Republic, Greece, and Romania. Indicators on the risk of poverty, the unemployment rate, including differences in unemployment by age, sex, place of residence and education, were presented. It identifies ways to combat unemployment and poverty. In the workplace, there are State-provided forms of unemployment reduction such as internship vouchers, unemployment benefits, all kinds of subsidies and reimbursement of expenses. The main income and expenditure of the Labor Fund in the years concerned were also taken into account. A survey was also carried out to determine society’s attitudes towards unemployment and poverty.
