Niniejsza praca dotyczy współczesnego, narodzonego w II połowie XX wieku radykalnego nurtu tradycjonalistycznego w łonie katolicyzmu. Nurt ten, od nazwiska czołowej jego postaci – arcybiskupa Marcela Lefebvre’a, nazywany jest lefebryzmem. W pierwszej części opisuje ona genezę lefebryzmu. Opisuje historię statusu głównej instytucji lefebryzmu, jaką jest założone przez abpa Lefebvre’a Bractwo Kapłańskie Św. Piusa X, a tym samym również samych lefebrystów w Kościele. W następnej części analizie poddana została doktryna lefebryzmu, jej główne elementy i tło historyczne. W części podsumowującej zawarte zostały refleksje na temat zasadności zarzutów lefebryzmu, istoty rozumienia roli Kościoła w nauczaniu ostatniego soboru oraz w doktrynie lefebrystów i przemyślenia nad możliwą przyszłością nurtu lefebryzmu.

The thesis is related to contemporary traditionalist trend in Catholicism, which was born in the second half of twentieth century. This trend, from the name of its leading figure - archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, is called lefebvrism. In the first part, it describes the genesis of lefebvrism. It describes the history of the status of the main institution of lefebvrism, which is the Priestly Society of St. Pius X found by archbishop Lefebvre and thus also the status of the lefebvrists themselves in the Church. The next section analyzes the doctrine of lefebvrism, its main elements and historical background. The summary part contains reflections on the validity of the allegations of lefebvrism, the essence of understanding the role of the Church in the teaching of the last Council and in the doctrine of lefebvrists, and reflections about the possible future of the lefebvrite trend.
