Analiza "Ballady O Mulan" i Jej Disneyowskiej Adaptacji Filmowej: Podejście Międzykulturowe

Niniejsza praca zagłębia się w złożoność interakcji między reprezentacją kulturową, strategiami tłumaczeniowymi oraz transkulturową komunikacją w kontekście adaptacji audiowizualnych dzieł, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem adaptacji legendy o Mulan przez Disneya. Usytuowana na pograniczu sinologii i filologii angielskiej, analizuje transformację chińskiej narracji w amerykańską wersję audiowizualną. Praca zawiera kompleksową analizę tekstową Disneyowskiej adaptacji legendy o Mulan, odkrywając ukryte perspektywy amerykańskie na kulturowe elementy związane z Chinami w kontekście tej adaptacji. This paper analyses the profound interplay between cultural representation, translation strategies, and the transcultural communication embedded within audiovisual adaptations, with a particular focus on Disney's adaptation of the Mulan legend. Situated at the intersection of Sinology and English philology, it examines the transformation of a Chinese narrative into an American audiovisual rendition. It contains a comprehensive textual analysis of Disney's Mulan adaptation, revealing the underlying American perspectives on Chineseness embedded in the adaptation. The study shifts its focus to the Chinese translation of the adapted narrative, employing a comparative approach to scrutinise linguistic, cultural, and pragmatic choices made during the translation process. The aim is to bridge the cultural gap between the American and Chinese cultural paradigms while preserving the story's essence.
