Transformations of the weaponry and combat techniques in the younger pre-Roman period on Polish soil.

Praca ta ma za zadanie przybliżyć proces przemian modelu uzbrojenia ludności zamieszkującej tereny dzisiejszej Polski w młodszym okresie przedrzymskim. Ponadto ma również przedstawić obraz wojownika i techniki walki, jakie mogły być stosowane w młodszym okresie przedrzymskim na ziemiach polskich. W tym celu, ze względu na brak danych zawartych w źródłach pisanych odnoszących się bezpośrednio do terenów objętych zasięgiem kultury przeworskiej i oksywskiej, wykorzystano wyniki analizy źródeł archeologicznych oraz posłużono się informacjami odnoszącymi się do stylu walki wojownika celtyckiego oraz jego pozycji w społeczeństwie. Należy sądzić, że zarówno techniki walki, jak i status wojownika celtyckiego mogły wpłynąć zarówno na sposób walki, jak i na pozycję wojownika we wspomnianych kulturach, powstałych w wyniku silnych wpływów procesu latenizacji.

The aim of this work is to present theprocess of changes in the model of armament of the population living in the territory of present-day Poland in the younger pre-Roman period. In addition, it is to present a picture of the warrior and the combat techniques that could be used in the younger pre-Romanperiod on Polish soil. To this end, due to the lack of data contained in written sources referring directly to the areas covered by the Przeworsk and Oksywsko cultures, the results of the analysis of archaeological sources were used and information concerning the style of fighting of the Celtic warrior and his position in society was used. It should be believed that both, the techniques of fighting and the status of Celtic warriors could have influenced both, the way of fighting and the position of warriors in these cultures, resulting from the strong influence of the process of latenization.
