Praca magisterska przedstawia opis dzieciństwa w dzielnicach biedy na przykładzie Miasta Meksyk i Rio de Janeiro. Dzieciństwo to szczególny etap w życiu każdego człowieka, w którym kształtowane są wzory zachowań i światopogląd. Praca przedstawia opis powstawania dzielnic biedy wokół miast oraz prezentuje wpływ, jaki środowiska dzielnic kształtują jednostkę społeczną. Ubóstwo mieszkańców dzielnic biedy to temat, który jest podejmowany wielokrotnie. Sytuacja społeczno - polityczna danego kraju wpływa na sytuację obywateli. Najbardziej bezbronnymi jednostkami w zetknięciu z odgórnie narzuconymi schematami organizacji polityczno - społecznej są dzieci. Przez fakt urodzenia w danym środowisku, są one skazane na dorastanie w konkretnych warunkach. Dzieci są niezwykle podatne na uleganie tendencjom środowiska, w którym przebywają. Stąd też wzory jakie się im prezentuje powinny być jak najbardziej pozytywne. Jednak dzielnice tworzone przez ludzi z tzw. marginesu społecznego nie zawsze takie wzory są w stanie przekazać.Praca prezentuje złożony problem biedy, z jaką zmagają się rodziny meksykańskie i brazylijskie. Miasto Meksyk i Rio de Janeiro to jedne z największych i najbardziej zaludnionych miast Ameryki Łacińskiej. Przedstawiają one sposoby radzenia sobie z trudnościami życia przez najbiedniejszych. Praca przedstawia również sposoby zwalczania ubóstwa przez programy rządowe i organizacje międzynarodowe.

The master's thesis presents the description of a childhood in the slumsof Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro. The Childhood is a special stage in the life of every human being, in which the patterns of behavior are shaping and all the beliefs.The research presents a description of the formation of slums and also the ifluence of the environment on the shape of the social unit districts.For the Residents of the poor neighborhoods poverty is an issue that is being analized repeatedly. The political and social situation of the country affects the citizens. The most vulnerable individuals are the children, being in contact with the top-down imposed patterns of political organization. By the fact of birth in the environment, they are doomed to grow up under certain conditions. These Children are very susceptible to succumbing to trends of the environment in which they live. Therefore, the equations which is to be presented as positive. However, the districts created by the poor people are not always the designs they are able to pass.This paper presents a complex problem of poverty which Mexican and Brazilian families are struggling with. Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro are one of the largest and most populous cities in Latin America. They represent ways of coping with the difficulties of life for the poorest. The research presents the ways and means to combat poverty through governmental programs and actioms of international organizations.
