Celem przedstawionej pracy magisterskiej jest stworzenie źródła informacji na temat zjawiska Manic Pixie Dream Girl w języku polskim. A także ukazanie jego genezy oraz wyznaczenie archetypów mających historycznie wpływ na jego powstanie. Opisane zostały, na konkretnych przykładach filmowych, cechy charakteryzujące ten typ bohaterki. Praca podejmuje próbę oceny schematu, jak wpłynął on na kulturę popularną. The purpose of the presented thesis is to create a source of information on the phenomenon of Manic Pixie Dream Girl in Polish. The work also showing its genesis and designating archetypes that have historically influenced its creation. The features characterizing this type of heroine are described on specific film examples. The work attempts to evaluate the phenomenon, how it affected popular culture. The work also presents the social reactions that accompanied the reception of the Manic Pixie Dream Girl phenomenon, paying particular attention to feminist comments.
