The motif of the femme fatale in selected historical novels by August Šenoa

Praca licencjacka zatytułowana "Motyw kobiety fatalnej w wybranych powieściach historycznych Augusta Šenoi" poświęcona jest analizie i interpretacji motywu femme fatale, czyli kobiety fatalnej, w dziełach jednego z najważniejszych chorwackich pisarzy XIX wieku, Augusta Šenoi. W pracy przedstawiony został życiorys autora oraz cechy charakterystyczne dla epoki, w której tworzył oraz cechy powieści historycznej. Została pokazana również charakterystyka kobiet fatalnych oraz podane zostały ważne przykłady z mitologii oraz historii. Wprowadzona została również klasyfikacja Krešimira Nemca dotycząca archetypów kobiet w powieściach historycznych Augusta Šenoi. Analizie poddane zostały trzy kobiety: Klara Grubar Ungnad (Córka złotnika), Terezija Baćan (Diogenes) oraz Marijeta Quirini (Čuvaj se senjske ruke) i na podstawie ich analizy przedstawione zostały wnioski.

The Bachelor's thesis entitled "The motif of the femme fatale in selected historical novels by August Šenoa" is devoted to the analysis and interpretation of the motif of the femme fatale, or fatal woman, in the works of one of the most important Croatian writers of the 19th century, August Šenoa. The work presents the author's biography and the characteristics of the era in which he wrote and the features of a historical novel. The characteristics of femme fatale are also shown and important examples from mythology and history are given. Krešimir Nemec's classification of female archetypes in August Šenoa's historical novels is also introduced. Three women are analysed: Klara Grubar Ungnad (The Goldsmith's Treasure), Terezija Baćan (Diogenes) and Marijeta Quirini (Čuvaj se senjske ruke) and conclusions are presented based on their analysis.
