Praca ma na celu ukazanie podobieństw i różnic pomiędzy strojem muzułmanek w Bośni i Hercegowinie, a ubiorem wyznawczyń tej religii w innych częściach świata, a także analizę zjawiska tzw. mody muzułmańskiej. Przedstawiona została pozycja kobiety w islamie, a także najpopularniejsze typy strojów związanych z muzułmańskim kręgiem kultury. Przywołana została również historia islamu na terenie Bośni i Hercegowiny. Przedstawiono także tradycyjne bośniackie i boszniackie stroje.
The thesis aims to show differences and similarities between Islamic fashion in Bosnia and Herzegvina and in the rest of Islamic world. The position of women in Islam was analysed, as well as the most popular types of islamic clothes for women were characterized. Attention was paid to the position and meaning of hijab in today's world. The thesis decribes the history of Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It also depicts some of traditional Bosnian clothings.
