This chapter discusses the economic polices introduced in Poland by the national right-wing populist government led by the Law and Justice party (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość, PiS), since 2015. Following the analysis of the socio-economic factors laying on the demand side of populism in Poland, this chapter focuses on the supply side providing an in-depth analysis of Polish economic policies highlighting their priorities, targets, beneficiaries and social and economic consequences. Structure wise the study follows the three-dimensional analysis of economic populism, focusing on: (1) redistribution policies (including the flagship Family 500+ programme), (2) modern protectionist policies, that include the so-called Repolonization policy, taxation of the retail and banking sector and national champions strategy, all which aimed at changing the ownership structure in Poland and finally (3) particular criticism of international organizations and institutions. This chapter demonstrates that all discussed economic policies have been significantly informed populist anti-elitist narrative, and their visible effect is the alteration of the incentive structure of the economy.pl
