The influence of Confucian thought on women's lives in South Korea, propagated in Korean dramas.

Tematem pracy jest wpływ tradycji konfucjańskiej na życie kobiet we współczesnej Korei Południowej, który można zaobserwować w koreańskich dramach. Na początku został przedstawiony rozwój myśli konfucjańskiej, w jaki sposób przez stulecia kształtowała się ta ideologia, jej zasady, wzory postępowania oraz schemat rodziny żyjącej według konfucjańskich reguł. Następnie zamieszczona jest charakterystyka konfucjańskiego ideału kobiety oraz jej miejsca w społeczeństwie. W drugim rozdziale ukazana została analiza sytuacji kobiet we współczesnej Korei Południowej: obraz tradycyjnej rodziny koreańskiej, a następnie przemiany, jakie się dokonały na tle rodzinnym, reformy edukacji i rynku pracy, oraz początki filozofii feministycznej. W trzecim rozdziale przedstawiona została historia i ewolucja koreańskich dram na przestrzeni ostatnich kilkudziesięciu lat, a także fenomen Hallyu, aby ostatecznie zakończyć na analizie wybranych wizerunków kobiet, występujących w koreańskich dramach.

The topic of the thesis is the influence of Confucian tradition on women's lives in contemporary South Korea, which can be seen in Korean dramas. The work began with the presentation of the development of Confucian thought, how this ideology formed over the centuries, its principles, the Confucian patterns of conduct, and the scheme of the Confucian family. The characteristics of the ideal Confucian women and her place in society were discussed at the end of the first chapter. The second chapter is an analysis of the situation of contemporary Korean women: the image of a traditional Korean family, as well as the changes that have taken place in the family structure, the education reforms, the place of women in the labour market, and the beginnings of the feminist philosophy. The third chapter presented the evolution of Korean dramas over the past several years and the Hallyu phenomenon, ending with the analysis of selected images of women seen in Korean dramas.
