Student participation in the functioning of the university through involvement in student organizations

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza działalności organizacji studenckich w kontekście ich udziału w w funkcjonowaniu uniwersytetu. Badanie zostały przeprowadzone w formie obserwacji uczestniczącej. W pracy zawarty jest opis kompetencji organizacji studenckich wraz z ich sytuacją prawną. Analiza zrzeszeń studentów dokonywana jest w oparciu sytuacje zaobserwowane w procesie badawczym oraz relacje współpracowników. Dotyczą one przede wszystkim praktyk komunikacyjnych i wytwarzania wspólnotowości, poprzez organizowanie wydarzeń konsolidujących społeczność studencką. Ostatnia część pracy poświęcona jest indywidualnym motywacjom uczestnictwa w organizacjach studenckich. Badania wskazują, że na formę działalności organizacji studenckich wpływ mają nie tylko czynniki wewnętrzne, ale także różnego rodzaju zjawiska i procesy zewnętrzne, zarówno w skali lokalnej, jak i globalnej. Ponadto w pracy opisany jest wpływ osobistych motywacji i samego postrzegania uczestnictwa przez członków organizacji na działalność komórek zarządzanych przez studentów.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the activities of student organizations in the context of their participation in the functioning of the university. The research was conducted using participant observation. The thesis includes a description of the competencies of student organizations along with their legal status. The analysis of student associations is based on situations observed during the research process and the accounts of collaborators. These primarily concern communication practices and the creation of a sense of community through organizing events that consolidate the student body. The final part of the thesis is devoted to individual motivations for participating in student organizations. The research indicates that the activities of student organizations are influenced not only by internal factors but also by various external phenomena and processes, both on a local and global scale. Additionally, the thesis describes how personal motivations and the perception of participation by organization members impact the functioning of student-run units.
