Fantastic characters in selected works of Juliusz Słowacki

Przedmiotem pracy jest analiza podobieństw i różnic pomiędzy kreacjami diabłów i aniołów w Kordianie Juliusza Słowackiego. Ze względu na różnorodne źródło ich pochodzenia, porównane zostały z wizerunkiem utrwalonym zarówno w Piśmie Świętym, jak i mitologii słowiańskiej. Opisana została także ich rola w dramacie oraz wzajemne relacje. Kolejne zestawienie dotyczy rusałek, Goplany z Balladyny oraz bohaterki Żmii. Dwie rusałki zostały porównane ze znanym z wizerunkiem utrwalonym w mitologii słowiańskiej oraz z takimi postaciami występującymi w dziełach innych pisarzy. Dodatkowo opisane są cechy, które wyróżniają postacie fantastyczne Juliusza Słowackie spośród takich dzieł innych autorów.

The subject of the work is the analysis of the similarities and differences between the creations of devils and angels in Juliusz Słowacki's Kordian. Due to the diverse source of their origin, they have been compared with the image preserved in both the Holy Scriptures and Slavic mythology. Also, there were narrated their role and their mutual relationes. The thired chapter describe rusalkas, Goplana from Balladyna and the heroine of Żmiia. Two characters have been compared with the image that is preserved in Slavic mythology and with such characters appearing in the works of other writers. Additionally described are the features that distinguish the fantastic characters of Juliusz Słowacki from such works by other authors.
