Bieszczady Wysokie as an example of a peripheral tourism area

Niniejsza praca magisterska rozpatruje problematykę regionów peryferyjnych. Za przykład takiego regionu wzięto Bieszczady Wysokie wyznaczone przez J. Balona w 1994 r. Aby poprzeć peryferyjność regionu omówiono kolejno elementy środowiska przyrodniczego, charakterystykę społeczno-gospodarczą oraz stan rozwoju turystyki, a także przedstawiono ich oddziaływanie na nią. Następnie przedstawiono dostępność komunikacyjną oraz własne badania ankietowe w jej zakresie. Całość pracy została podsumowana w odniesieniu do miejscowych strategii rozwoju, by potwierdzić stopień peryferyjności regionu, oraz możliwe scenariusze na przyszłość.

This thesis examines the problems of peripheral regions. An example of such a region designated the Bieszczady Wysokie was taken by J. Balon in 1994. To support the peripheral region are discussed in turn elements of natural environment, socio-economic characteristics and the state of tourism development, and provides their impact on her. Then presents the availability of communication and their own surveys in the field. The whole work is summarized in relation to local development strategies, to confirm the degree of remoteness of the region, and possible scenarios for the future.
