Praca stanowi próbę oceny rozwoju białoruskiej państwowości. W pracy brane są pod uwagę zarówno czynniki wewnątrzpolityczne, jak i aspekty międzynarodowe. Analizie poddany jest stan białoruskiego społeczeństwa: jego kultura polityczna, struktura, stosunek do państwa, narodu i języka; cele i metody białoruskiej władzy, a także stosunki Republiki Białorusi z Federacją Rosyjską, państwami europejskimi i kluczowymi graczami pozaeuropejskimi. Celem pracy jest próba udzielenia odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy i na ile Białoruś jest państwem suwerennym oraz jakie są perspektywy na zmianę aktualnego stanu rzeczy.
The goal of the thesis is to analyse the prospects for the Belarusian statehood and its place in the European security system. This paper will analyse the most critical national and international factors, that are important for the Belarusian statehood. Those are: Belarusian society - its political culture, opinions, their perception of the state and nation; methods and goals of the Belarusian authorities; international relations with the most important partners such as Russia, the EU and China. Conludigin with an attempt to answer the question, is Belarus an independent state?
